A little-known part of the history of several towns in Girona includes an intense relationship with the Antilles, a relationship that can be traced back to the nineteenth-century emigrants who travelled to the region, particularly Cuba and Puerto Rico, in search of a better life. Those who found success returned to their hometowns to build spectacular houses that can still be appreciated today. They were called the “Americanos (Americans)” or “Indianos (Indians)” and sought to recreate the Cuban way of life in their native towns. We propose a company incentive against this backdrop that delves into the cultural legacy they left behind.
